Relieve Back Pain with Acupuncture and Chiropractic Therapies
At Integrated Health Solutions, we know that even minor back pain can be debilitating when it comes to performing everyday tasks and fully living your life.
Our goal is to help you discover the cause of your pain chronic back pain. You know how much of a struggle it is to even get out of bed in the morning, much less completing everyday tasks like going to work and spending time with family and friends.
Our team at Integrated Health Solutions is trained and certified to first identify the cause of your pain, then to use hands-on and holistic treatment techniques to alleviate symptoms and resolve the cause of your pain. If you are experiencing chronic or acute muscle pain, one likely cause of this pain is that your soft tissues have sustained an injury. You may not have been involved in an accident, and perhaps you may not notice that an injury has occurred. This is because injury is not always caused by trauma. Even if you are careful and take good care of your body, years of repetitive use can cause soft tissues to develop micro-traumas and tears that lead to the build-up of scar tissue.
What are the Causes of Back Pain?
Back pain can begin from any type of traumatic incident but can also develop up over time as the result of small, repetitive injuries. If you are suffering from back pain, it is likely that one or more factors in your lifestyle are contributing to that pain. Undue stress, anxiety, strenuous activity, poor posture and even a sedentary lifestyle can all contribute to back pain.
The doctors at Integrated Health Solutions can help you identify the factors in your life that are causing the back pain from which you suffer. Through a functional analysis, we can pinpoint imbalances in your system. We will then work with you to implement treatment methods and minor lifestyle adjustments that will restore global movement and joint mechanics.
Our Approach to Treating Your Back Pain
When you visit IHS, we will first conduct an intake exam involving a functional analysis of your soft tissues as well as an interview to determine the root cause of your back pain. Our doctors will perform a thorough examination of your areas of pain, and record a detailed history of your medical care and any chronic problems. Later, Dr. Charbel will perform a Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), a through assessment of how adequately your muscles and other soft tissues are interacting. As one damaged tissue can often affect the functionality of other tissues over time, SFMA is the most reliable method in understanding the full scope of soft tissue pain and injury. By combining a SFMA with our state-of-the-art physical rehabilitation techniques, Dr. Charbel will analyze your body as a holistic system, and reset your muscles and soft tissue systems to their original state.
In addition to SFMA and physical rehab, we offer traditional acupuncture therapies to clients suffering from back pain. Traditional acupuncture, as well as modern dry needling techniques, improve energy flow and remove blockages from your system. While acupuncture involves shallowly placing needles along the body’s meridian lines, dry needling consists of strategically placing needles slightly deeper into affected areas. These therapies work to restore a healthy balance to your body, accomplishing deep tissue healing and whole-body rejuvenation.
